  • How to choose size of chimney for new kitchen?

You have a three burner gas stove or are interested in buying one and are confused what size chimney is suitable for 3 burner gas stove? Well on most platforms they would tell you that 90 cm is mandatory but this is not the case. A chimney with good suction power is all you need. ideally 1350 m3/hr or 1400 m3/hr.

A 60 cm chimney works well with 3 burner or 4 burner gas stove.

This is because the actual suction area for a 90 cm chimney and a 60 cm chimney is exactly same.

For reference we re taking Elica wdfl 606 model in both 60 cm and 90 cm

As we can see both 60 and 90 cm chimney have identical suction area ( area which sucks the smoke from gas stove ). Furthermore the filter in both chimney are identical.

Only the curve glass increases.

Conclusion :

If you have extra space that is of no use only then go for 90 cm chimney else 60 cm chimney works well for gas stove upto 77 cm (which is Practically all gas stoves) if you are not satisfied with our answer and want to know more
